ABOUT MATT BROWN
Lia Matthew Brown (he/she) is a bigender, Toronto-based screenwriter, novelist, and film critic. L. works in spirited sci-fi, adventure and fantasy, exploring gender euphoria, pop culture, and the end of the world; and inevitably, there’s a tween girl sassmouth in there somewhere. In 2020, when we were all stuck indoors, L. self-published a book of essays about trauma and survival narratives in George Miller’s 2015 film, Mad Max: Fury Road.
