Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Sarah Gopaul is Digital Journal’s Editor-at-Large for film news. She is a film enthusiast who realized the power of cinema when she first saw ’12 Angry Men’ as a pre-teen. Discovering a passion and talent for writing rather than filmmaking, she earned a Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University then a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies at York University. Sarah combines her education and love of writing by reviewing theatrical and home entertainment releases. She served as the Editor-in-Chief of Popjournalism, a national, online entertainment magazine, for two years. Now she’s a freelance writer providing insights and opinions on what she thinks you should spend your money. Sarah enjoys watching all movie genres, but has a particular fondness for horror, and her devotion to hockey is second only to her adoration for cinema.
