Pre-2023 Film Reviews
A Canterbury Tale (1944)
- Excerpt: The saying that pilgrims come to Canterbury to receive a blessing or a penance is particularly relevant to the fourth central character: Thomas Colpeper (Eric Portman), a gentleman farmer and magistrate in Chillingbourne. He loves the area and wants others to appreciate it but also thinks he has the right to enforce his version of morality on other people through acts that could well be regarded as criminal.
An Education (2009)
Mary Shelley (2018)
Rick Aragon @ Rick’s Texan Reviews
- Excerpt: If anything, Mary Shelley is elevated by Elle Fanning’s performance.
Misery (1990)

- Excerpt: Well-acted, quietly intense, but for one expected moment Misery would be brilliant.
Seven Years in Tibet (1997)

Toy Story (1995)
Sebastian Zavala @ MeGustaElCine.com [Spanish]
- Excerpt: It may have been the first production of its kind, but the beauty of “Toy Story” lies in its characters, the themes it explores, and, of course, how funny it is.
