ABOUT DERRICK MURRAY
Derrick Murray is Los Angeles based Film Critic for Nerdbot.com and co-producer of ThisisForReel.com. He began writing for Nerdbot in 2020 after a decade of co-hosting The Jack of All Nerds podcast in which he frequently covered and discussed cinema. In 2021 he was brought on as a full time film critic for the site and head writer for review content. in 2024, he was brought on as a co-producer of Content for ThisisForReel, helping shape an international group of writers and content creators to deliver excellent Film, Festival and TV coverage as well as film cast and crew interviews, podcasts and film discussion videos. An avid lover of cinema from around the world, he has covered Sundance, TIFF, and SXSW. When he’s not watching a movie, discussing film with colleagues or writing, he is at home taking care of his two cats and new puppy.
