Here are review links for this film submitted by our members:

  • Marina Antunes @ Quiet Earth
    • Excerpt: It’s difficult to talk in much detail about Alien: Covenant because so much of what’s interesting about the movie is best left for discussion after viewing but I’ll leave you with this: as a new horror-filled entry into the Alien franchise, Alien: Covenant is a disappointment. However, as a darkly beautiful and occasionally creepy rumination on humanity’s quest for answers to “the” big questions, our roles playing god and the expanding role of AI, it’s a cautionary tale of the effects of relying too much on our own creations.
  • Francisco Cangiano @ CineXpress [Spanish]
  • Matt Donato @ We Got This Covered
    • Excerpt: With Alien: Covenant – a movie about the evolution of species – Ridley Scott’s Alien franchise evolves (or devolves, depending on opinion) into a different cinematic beast.
  • James Jay Edwards @ FilmFracture
  • Mark Hobin @ Fast Film Reviews
  • Nguyen Le @ The Critical Critics
    • Excerpt: It’s admirable to see a friend getting back to form.
  • Wesley Lovell @ Cinema Sight
  • Brent McKnight @ The Last Thing I See
    • Excerpt: Never fulfills its potential or ambition in any satisfying way.
  • Simon Miraudo @ Student Edge
  • Jared Mobarak @ JaredMobarak.com
    • Excerpt: Covenant languishes in a purgatorial stasis that neither improves upon its predecessor nor equals its canonical successors. Instead of providing intellectual discourse it winks at us while pretending that connecting dots is just as worthy of artistic merit as creating something new.
  • Darren Mooney @ the m0vie blog
  • Kristy Puchko @ CBR.com
    • Excerpt: “Alien: Covenant” is probably not the movie you were expecting.
  • Nuno Reis @ SciFiWorld Portugal
  • James Roberts @ Glide Magazine
    • Excerpt: Forget what you know about Alien; forget what you think an Alien movie should be. Covenantdoesn’t care what you think or expect. It’s here strictly for itself, but it’s willing to take you along if you’ll let it.
