- Excerpt: Rome deserves better than this hodgepodge of uninspired jokes about currency, celebrities (invented and real), political differences, culture clash, asking for directions, and, of course, sex.
- Tim Brayton @ Antagony & Ecstasy
- Excerpt: It is not “great Allen”, even if it is otherwise a supremely characteristic work.

- Excerpt: To Rome With Love is unlikely to be classed as one of Allen’s great works, but it’s a breezy, clever and, more importantly, funny comedy that showcases many of the director’s strengths. The only major knock against it would probably be to do with its structure; it’s basically an anthology of four shorts, but the shorts are intercut into each other, which often disrupts the rhythm of the storytelling.

- Excerpt: A pleasing if inconsistent romp through Rome sees a talented cast wandering through several eras of Woody Allen films.

- Excerpt: Like many other travellers, Woody Allen has been inspired by the old world, and found life in its romanticism. However, getting out of town isn’t everything, and eventually you realize that extra spring in your step is gone, and now you just have a different view out your window.
