Excerpt: An animated series much too tame for Adult Swim or Comedy Central, “Dan Vs.” is a show that might have fit in during Warner Bros.’ mid-1990s after-school cartoon boom, possessing the irreverence of “Animaniacs” and “Freakazoid!” without the ugliness and satire of a “South Park” or “Family Guy.”
