- Excerpt: In filmmaker Nicole Kassell’s tear-jerking tripe A Little Bit of Heaven the audience is definitely sure to get a whole lot of manipulative hogwash. Somehow combining an old-fashioned cancer-weeping melodrama and morphing it into a bouncy romantic comedy comes off as an irritating synthetic sob story relentlessly soaked in contrivance.
