They Are the Best of the Best: Glen Powell on The Blue Angels
- Excerpt: As an actor, it shows me that it doesn’t matter how big or impressive something is; it’s all about the heartbeat at the end of the day. This documentary has an amazing heartbeat because you get to know the men and women in these planes. The spectacle is obviously rewarding, but to understand the human beings in these cockpits, and to understand what it takes to make these things fly like that, that’s something that I’ll take on to every acting job.

Reviews of Short Films
Karita
Panos Kotzathanasis @ Asian Movie Pulse
- Excerpt: As mentioned before though, the aspect that makes “Karita” stand out is definitely its production values, which are on a level very rarely met in short films, while being the main reason the movie definitely deserves a watch. All in all, a very appealing film, in an effort that intrigues on what the filmmakers could do with a bigger budget in their hands, that would allow them to explore the script and the characters more.
Desync
Panos Kotzathanasis @ Asian Movie Pulse
- Excerpt: “Desync” has a style and approach that were quite difficult to pull off, with the meta levels appearing throughout, but it easy to say that Minerva Navasca passed the ‘test’ with flying colors.
Invisible
Panos Kotzathanasis @ Asian Movie Pulse
- Excerpt: “Invisible”, despite an ending that could have been handled in better fashion, is a well-shot film that works particularly well as a thriller, additionally because it is grounded in realism.
Lavender Flame
Panos Kotzathanasis @ Asian Movie Pulse
- Excerpt: “Lavender Flame” is definitely an intriguing short to watch, since the overall approach of the two directors feels rather cinematic, as much as the comments they wanted to make feel realistic.
