ABOUT MAITLAND MCDONAGH
My first movie review was published in 1983 and I have been reviewing and writing features ever since for outlets ranging from Film Journal International and AMCtv to TVGuide.com and Film Comment. I have spoken at film festivals, been interviewed for documentaries and have written several books, notably Broken Mirrors/Broken Minds: The Dark Dreams of Dario Argento and Movie Lust: Recommended Viewing for Every Mood, Moment and Reason I have contributed essays to many other publications.
I am also the founder of 120 Days Books, an independent publishing company dedicated to reprinting unjustly forgotten gay adult novels of the 1970s with in-depth introductory essays that situate these works ephemeral fiction within their historical and cultural context.
